Fiction, poetry, nonfiction—whatever you’re writing begins before you sit down to the blank page. If the writing gods are smiling on you, your preparation will begin with inspiration that you will bring to life in language. But those ancient gods are fickle. Without that spark, tapping the keys of your computer or writing on your lined paper can sometimes lead to a trail of words, dead and prone across a stark page.

Join fellow writers to find out what well-known writers have done when facing this issue and discuss how we open ourselves to fostering the spark of inspiration in our own work.
