ESWA Thanks Book Festival Hosts at Cult Classic Brewery
Members of the Eastern Shore Writers Association are excited to partner with Kent Island’s Cult Classic Brewery in presenting the first ever ESWA HOLIDAY BOOK FESTIVAL, taking place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11 am - 4 pm.
Cult Classic is a brewery, bar, restaurant, and live entertainment venue hosting everything from concerts and comedy to creative revels and community fundraisers. Dedicated to supporting the arts, this locally owned business regularly hosts author programs, a popular book club, and writers get-togethers, so teaming up with ESWA seems like the perfect plot twist.
Established in 2018, Cult Classic is located in what was once a supermarket. Serving an array of classic and specialty brews, as well as wine and cocktails, the brewery also offers a variety of comfort pub foods like burgers, sandwiches, and pizza. They host a weekly Farmer’s Market on Thursdays and recently started a Craft and Vintage Flea Market on the third Sunday of every month. On October 29th, their writers group, the Writers Cult, will host a Scary Stories to Tell at Cult Classic reading presentation that features a number of ESWA members. Tickets are available online
The ESWA Holiday Book Festival at Cult Classic will offer book lovers an opportunity to connect with their favorite authors from all over Delmarva and discover new voices across a variety of genres. There will be books for sale, signings, readings, giveaways, and for the convenience of holiday shoppers, gift-wrapping services.
A book festival at Cult Classic will not be a stuffy affair. Throughout the day, attendees will be encouraged to enjoy the venue’s appetizing food and tempting beverage menus as well as the staff’s hospitable cheer. A literary party smackdab at the end of the holiday shopping season, with just a few days left to find that perfectly unique gift?
