The first of a (maybe) series of casual interactive morning workshops, each one of which will focus on a different aspect of the writer's craft. This one is "characters." We'll talk about what makes a good character, what are some of your favorites, what are the standard and unique ways to develop characters. There will be some writing prompts for us to play with. THIS IS AN INTERACTIVE MEETING -- NOT A LECTURE, so you have to come prepared to be involved. If nothing else, do a search for "creating characters" and "writing prompts for character development" and bring what you found and want to talk about. Bring friends, coffee, notepad, and whatever else you need to feel productive.
